This election is city specific, so to see if your Voting Precinct has an election & to find polling places, visit Burnet County Elections. Voting hours vary by day, so check schedules and be sure to vote. There won’t be a polling place open on Saturday or Sunday during this election.

BCRW Monthly Meeting
The May meeting of the Burnet County Republican Women Club will feature BCRW scholarship recipients for this year & guest speaker Tom Maynard, State Board of Education District #10. The meeting will be held at The Reed Building, 402 E. Jackson St., Burnet 78611. Registration begins at 11:15, and the meeting runs from 11:30 to 1:00. This is a ticketed event, and includes a luncheon. Please RSVP by emailing Janet Parker and paying at the door with cash or check. Please register by Monday, May 5th.

BCRC 2nd Quarterly Meeting
We’re excited to announce that our own Susan Doyle will be speaking at our May 12 meeting! Susan is a founding member of the Texas Election Network (TEN), an organization “dedicated to protecting the integrity of TX elections by educating, equipping, empowering & revitalizing citizen engagement in the electoral process”. Come be informed about current happenings that affect the integrity of your vote.

Bluebonnet Festival
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! The 42nd Annual Bluebonnet Festival will take place on the square in Burnet from April 11-13. Burnet County Republican Club will once again be hosting a booth with Burnet County Republican Women Club and the Burnet County Republican Party. We need volunteers to help with set up on Friday morning, working the booth on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and tear down Sunday at 4 pm. Volunteer here or by emailing info@burnetcrc.com.

If you’d like to join us, you’re welcome. When we gather in His name, He is with us. We do our best to be there, but if something keeps us from showing up, God will still meet you as you pray.

Installation of Elected State Officials
The installation of Representative Ellen Troxclair and other State Officials will be held at the State Courthouse on January 14 at noon. Rep. Troxclair’s new office (E1 322) will be open at 10:30 and the ceremony will be visible on a TV there or from the gallery. The election of Speaker of the House will also take place.
